New to the sport of triathlon by way of Division I volleyball and rowing careers. I was recruited to Columbia University for volleyball and walked onto the rowing team as a Freshman. I ended up focusing on rowing my final two years of college, and competed for several elite programs and alongside national team athletes and Olympians ahead of London. Rowing taught me how to suffer, how to train, and how to love the pain cave. I tried to be a normal person and focus on my career post-rowing, but that didn't stick so I turned to triathlon.
I did my first sprint distance triathlon in 2013 as a goal during recovery from knee surgery, which sidelined me for nearly a year, and got hooked! I've got so much to learn about each discipline, and while my athletic background has made be an explosive and mentally-resilient athlete, I'm just starting to dive into the endurance world, and really love it. I'm really excited to continue to learn and grow in the sport and am especially looking forward to the unique challenges that come with each new distance!
