Grew up in Southern Vermont, competed in freestyle mogul skiing for 3 years and switched to high school ski racing for the duration of high school. Started mountain biking in junior year, competed in the eastern circuit men's C. Freshman year of college won the Men's C overall with Northeastern's Cycling Team. Started to road bike around this time too. Wanted to train more holistically so I joined the Northeastern Triathlon Team.
