|Bucket List Race||Triathlon with special needs son, progress to full iron,1/2 iron achieved last year.|
Married (39 years), 5 children (27-37), 2 sons with special needs that teach us all best life lessons and we are lucky to have, enjoying doing races with one of them, Chief Engineer of NASA center in Cleveland OH (31 years with NASA). Started this sport in 2014 because I was cross training (running alone to hard on body and limiting, and not good at it... ??) and wanted to get more seriously fit for self and family after a health scare. Love the solitary training and discipline as well as the caring support and camaraderie of the tri community, as part of a balanced way to stay healthy, spiritually, mentally, and physically to serve as I should for as long as I am supposed to. Exercise is a key component in that which I find most important, to continue to grow spiritually. Just completed more formally training with a coach, as in the spiritual life, only a fool takes direction only from oneself. Find “winning” at this is so much more than just place and medals... races for me are guideposts and ways to get out of comfort zone.
