Over the hill, IT Engineer. Guitar Hack. Man of many hobbies.
I few years back I dropped a bunch of weight cycling. I started cycling to support a Charity ride for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. My Son has Cystic Fibrosis. He is the reason I ride.
I always loved riding bikes. and quickly became hooked on cycling. After completing my first century I was looking for another challenge. Enter Triathlon. I raced for 2 years before joining TRS Racing. Mostly sprints and Olympic distance with one half distance thrown in.
I had a goal of completing an Iron distance before I turned 40. Instead I bought a house. To get all I wanted in my price range I had to get a fixer upper. What I thought would take me a few months has taken much longer.
When I first joined TRS I was not even looking for a house. That Hijacked my first season. I joined again still optimistic that I would have "plenty of time" to finish and get racing. Instead I got fat and didn't race.
Here I sit year 3 on the TRS racing team. Not having even raced once. That's right, I have two TRS tri suites that have not even been worn.
Third times the charm!!
I have a full race schedule in mind. With a half iron being my A race. Hoping next year to finally get that Iron Distance under my racing belt.
