Coaching is my way of sharing with others the positive impact triathlon has had in my life. I know being active in this manner can make us the best version of ourselves, both mentally and physically, thus helping others challenge themselves and achieve results in this realm is what drives me. Competing in triathlon allows us to work toward goals, as well as connect with and contribute to a generally healthy, vivacious group of individuals.
I am currently a pro triathlete and reside in Boulder, CO. I was born in Iowa City, IA, and grew up trying a handful of sports (primarily competitive soccer). In high school I found success in cross country & track, which led to attending the University of Missouri. I competed on the track and cross country team for two years while earning a Bachelor of Journalism. After working in the event management industry based in Austin, TX for a few years, I joined a triathlon group and have been involved with the sport ever since.
My move to Boulder, CO in 2014 was a catalyst for a higher level of commitment as a professional triathlete, and while consistently competing at the top level of long-course racing, I have posted 18 podium finishes since. In the fall of 2017 I made my 140.6 distance debut, and in both 2018 and 2019 I qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii.
