I have been passionate about bicycling since I was 16 and saw my first Schwinn Paramount bike, I have been racing, ride and training ever since. It is a large part of life not just the competitive, camaraderie, history, and technology with bicycle but the healthy lifestyle it promotes. I work for the American Red Cross in Disaster Services, and it is a pretty stressful job and cycling is way for me to deal with that stress. I have lived in Hawaii for 12 years, met my new wife here and together we enjoy cycling, snorkeling and scuba diving. Travel, when it's possible... We recently got active in wine tasting and viticulture. Prior to Hawaii, I was a Park Ranger in Utah and New Mexico with the Bureau of Land Management, in the four corners area. I am actively involved with local environmental groups such as Surfrider, Waipa Foundation, Sierra Club.
