April 23, 2019 - The original 'party' race lives up to its reputation in 2019!
The 41st Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10K in New Orleans is an Easter weekend tradition. Dubbed as 'one of America's fastest 10K's' it never disappoints bringing in close to 20,000 participants each year. Of course when you live in the Big Easy you never know what type of weather you will get. I have now run this race maybe 25-26 times, if my memory serves me correctly, and this year it was almost perfect conditions. I have done it in cold weather and absolutely brutal hot weather, and this year was 60 degrees at the start, sunny and low humidity. Perfect racing conditions. From the Expo to the post race party, this is definitely one to experience...and a great excuse to visit New Orleans!
